ECDC is seeking a Teacher to join our energetic and fun-loving Team! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities using our Curriculum. As a Early Childhood Care and Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our daycare center, ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of the children in our care. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals to create a positive and enriching experience for children.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct activities designed to promote physical, intellectual, emotional and social growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Maintain schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
- Communicate with parents on their child’s growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all children
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 30 college credit hours, with 6 credit hours related directly to early childhood care and education and/or child development
- 1-year previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
Job Type: Full-time or Part Time
Salary: From $16.25 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
